CSAFI Publishes 2026 State of Food-Industry Cyber Threats Report

The annual report tracks ransomware, OT intrusions and supply-chain attacks across the global food sector.

The Cybersecurity Association of the Food Industry (CSAFI) today released its 2026 State of Food-Industry Cyber Threats Report, the association’s most comprehensive annual study of the risks facing producers, distributors and retailers worldwide.

Drawing on incident data shared confidentially by member organisations, the report finds that ransomware and operational-technology intrusions remain the two fastest-growing categories of attack against food manufacturers, with cold-chain and logistics systems increasingly targeted.

The full report is available to CSAFI members, alongside a practical checklist for hardening plant-floor systems against the techniques described.
