Third-party risk in food-tech
Every vendor you connect to is a door into your network. Here is how to keep it locked.
By Pankaj Upadhyay · Food-Tech Security Consultant

Modern food producers run on a web of third parties: managed service providers, remote-support vendors, cloud platforms and equipment makers who dial in to tune a machine.
Each connection is convenient, and each is a risk. The 2020s taught the industry that a supplier breach can become your breach overnight.
The answer is not to cut the cord but to govern it: inventory who has access, insist on least privilege, and review the list every quarter. A vendor that no longer needs a login should not still have one.
